FS: JA steering set up, twin cam bits, wheels, JB bar

Post by Mick »

Hi all,

For sale:

1. complete steering system from a JA with twin cam.
- Steering box was rebuilt 200km ago by National Power Steering in Sydney for $600.
- New bushes
- Twin cam power steering pump and belt, has always been ok but isn't new.
- Fake braided lines and polished reservoir.
- All arms and links
- 300x400 approx. cooler with lines correct length to mount in front of radiator.
Removed the whole fluid system to investigate a leak and then decided to go rack and pinion so out it all came.
No idea of what its worth but would be looking at around $500 for the bunch I guess, or whatever a reasonable offer is.

2. Twin cam inlet manifold reversed to suit RWD setup. Vr4 ECI style. Wire wheel polished and looks pretty good. Nicely finished welds and bolt on 2.5" intercooler pipe adaptor. Standard throttle body with blanked off idle control.
$150

3. Twin cam thermostat relocation chamber/pipe. Nicely tig welded rectangular aluminium section that puts the thermostat nicely out of the way behind the standard twin cam manifold described above. Its always worked great but wont fit with hypertune manifold that may or may not ever be installed  . All bolts, save yourself a headache if converting. $100

4. Set of 19" ROH Modena 4 stud wheels with almost new tyres. Large and dishy. Beautiful wheel for street/show/cruise car but am looking to circuit race and need some sidewall.
Offers.

5. Redzone fibreglass JB front bar with lights to suit. $200

For info on any of this stuff call 0408 337 886. will sms photos on request.

Its in the early stages but had a tip on a Hyundai rack from a 97 from John on this forum.
It need to be modified in width to suit the starion ends and have the same geometry as the standard steering arc.
Then needs to link up to factory column and be bolted to a fabbed up crossmember.

Don't want to clutter up for your sale thread, but I;d also be really keen on some pictures and details of your rack swap, as I'm currently doing the same thing.

Is it a power steering rack?

Cheers.
