This 'thingy' came in a box with a bunch of other stuff.
Has X6T33171 stamped on it.

What the heck is it?

ETACs unit! It's what plays chimes and controls the rear demister timer, electric window timer, interior light fade delay/fade out and intermittent wiper speed on the JDM Starions (and also 4th gen Galant/Eternas). The switch on the side turns on the chime when you open the door before putting the key in.

I sent one from my parts GSR-V to a guy in Australia who needed one!

DG you certainly did! I appreciate it and yes I still have the car, slowly modifying it and enjoying some GSRIII sillyness!
