However, I persoanlly would prefer horizontal lines as it would be more suited to the shape of the original lense and also the car.

For eg. 3 or 4 x horizontal twin led strips

Month of May SPECIAL

Post by MotoCam360 »

OK people... time for the MAY SPECIAL:

For the month of May, anybody that buys a MotoCam 360 hood strut kit ($122 delivered) will be entered to win the first LED Brake Light Conversion Kit ($399 value) (see GP section). We will draw the winner 5/31 and the conversion kit will ship to the lucky winner first week of June. Multiple hood strut kit purchase = multiple entries to win!

If you have a FRP hood, we use a different strut and the kit cost is $144 delivered.

Previous hood strut purchases obviously do not apply for this contest.

Will the winner get a choice of LED pattern, or will it be for the round pattern only?

I have 4 round patterns to choose from, and I will be posting more pictures and video this week.

I do not currently have "square pattern" plans for the initial release of this conversion kit, even though some members have expressed interest. In the states, we also have members asking about red lens covers instead of smoked lens covers before the initial release too.

As you can imagine, it's extremely hard to cater to everybody's needs for such an orphaned car, or we'd have 100 different versions. We already have $5000 invested into this project and we need to recoup some cost before we start offering more variations.

Your market will dictate what you'll sell...as always unless you throw marketing dollars at it. You strut kit as a loss leader is a top idea though.

I like the horizontal line idea as well, three lines would tie in with the number plate panel for US and jap vehicles. But any number of lines would probably look good.

Would you consider doing the centre stop light with LEDs?

12 days left in the LED Tail Light Conversion Kit give away.

This post is late, but the first 12 people to purchase our hood strut kit also get their choice of one of our fancy new stainless steel keychains:

Flatty small keychain

Sorry, but they're not for sale. We made them as promotional items to be given away when customers purchase one of the following MotoCam 360 items:

Hood Strut Kit
Air Diversion Panel
Chin Spoiler (Rev 1.0 or 2.0)
2 sets of smoked foglight covers

Cheers,

Tim

Those taillights don't appear to have reflectors on them like the OEM ones do. If they don't then they're illegal here.
They look cool though! :)

They do have reflectors in them (3 per side). That is also one of the main reasons that we are resistant to making the LED pattern 3 straight lines, because then we have to figure out the reflector portion of it.

Thanks,

Tim
