Group Buy - Braided Brake Lines - Closed

Post by TOMSUN »

UPDATED 4-4-2012

If your brake line are anything like mine they have started to crack and need replacing.
I'm looking to move to a set of braided brake lines (no more cracked lines and the braided will give a better peddle feel.)
Found a company that does ADR approved braided brake lines. With a clear plastic cover for protection (like the Group Buy of clutch lines which looks great)
I still need to send them my brake lines so they can double check the lengths.

BRAND: HEL Perfomance (Australian made)

Please list if your interested and what colour.

YES LIST:

1. TOMSUN - Carbon look (6 line kit) ................. NSW (PAID)
2. muttis3lv6 - Black (8 line kit) ................. QLD (CONFIRMED)
3. 1320ft - Black (6 line kit) ................. NSW (CONFIRMED)
4. Thrash - Black (8 line kit) ................. NSW (CONFIRMED)
5. 4g6beat - Black (6 line kit) ................. NSW (CONFIRMED)
6. JDSTAZ45 - Carbon look (6 line kit) ................. NSW (PAID)
7. JK - Black (6 line kit) ................. WA (CONFIRMED)

Sample lines delivered for trial fitment. Quality looks fantastic!!! (Colour: Carbon look)

One-piece line for front. Eliminates a join and potential leak point and is cheaper ($50 saving for the kit). Others can choose the 8 line kit to ket it OEM configuration and if they are concerned the line might rub and wear in the nylon fitting...

There are are all ADR approved and are Stainless fittings.

Indicative price 8-line kit $210 + postage (OEM configuration)
6-line kit $160 + postage (single one-piece line at front replaces the OEM 2 lines)

Front line (1-piece) fitted

They do sell these in the states. Not sure about ADR approval though. But it might be worth looking into how much we can get them over here through a group buy

Just bought a set of braided brake lines over the weekend.
They are those HEL brake lines which are ADR approved.
There is a listing on Aussie ebay for $185 delivered. Not bad.

However, I found the same brake lines in the UK for a lot less!
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/220910896130 ... 1497.l2649 It cost me about $120 with Paypal.

You choice of price and colours!!

Great find!!!

Will these fit a narrow body?
Are the brake line kits all the same for JA, JB, JD?

99.9% sure they will!
If the D2 coilovers fit either, then the same should apply for the brake lines. Besides the Aussie ebay listing shows it applies for both.

My new brakes already have braided front lines. Any advantage doing the rears when they are stock?

Hey Mal,
Have your brake lines arrived?
I had a look at my line and the front look like a 2 piece configuration and the rears are also are a 2 piece design. So a full set should be 8 hoses all up??
