Can any of you Kiwi guys help me out, I need a new fuel tank.
To cut a long story short:
- Fuel gauge broke a few months ago.
- Ran out of gas due to the gauge not working (stupid I know)
- Fuel tank not vented for some reason and suction warped the tank inwards.
- drove around for a few months with no issues, but now the metal has cracked where the tank was bent and is leaking pretty badly out of the bottom.
So yeah, does anyone have a spare one lying around and how much do you want for it?
If I can't get one I will look at getting it repaired but thought I would try and replace first...

fuel tank
I have one out of an '86 that I have wrecked as the front end of the car is rusted out. I'm in Auckland, but don't know the logistics of shipping a used fuel tank...filled with water maybe?

if Mike's one above doesn't work out, PM Boyd (KiwiStaz), he grabbed the one I had off me in Hamilton but he was looking at taking it down with him to Ashburton/Chch to where his Starion is, so perhaps see if he's taken it down already. From memory he only wanted the pump rather than the whole tank.

I do still have the one I got off Fuel and would have offered it to you but it is still in Hamilton. If you know of a way of getting it down, its yours
