Hey guys, i have bought a new car so unfortunately the Starion has to go.

For sale: 1982 Silver JA

Condition: 270,000kms

Note:
**Needs new clutch (currently not drive-able)

Other issues:
> Needs new battery/or jump start!
> Left Pop up light wont come down
> Burns some oil & power steering box leaking. Requires topping up here and there.
> Body straight, NO structural rust and paint in good condition, though starting to fade a lot on the roof.
> Small superficial rust spot near left rear & front wheel. (around size of 50 cent coin)
> Driver side power window needs new motor
> Interior & dash is clean, front leather seats very worn but come with covers.

Positives:
- 4 brand new tyres installed in 2009' all still with good tread.
- Reconditioned Radiator installed Nov 2011'
- Timing belt replaced at around 225,000kms.
- Starts well with turn of key, runs cool in summer, turbo still boosts and apart from the current clutch problem the car drives well.

Price and price conditions: $500 - Selling without plates, as is.

That's actually incorrect. I took these photos my self with my own camera. The Pics from the Unique Cars magazine piece you are referring to were taken by their own photographer.

Its a funny old world trying to sell cars isnt it. Im not bagging this sale or anything like that I I reckon that this car is worth the $2,500 he is asking but isnt it funny how my car with new everything, mint paint, mint full leather interior etc isnt worth twice this amount. Its a bit like houses these days, my place on ten acres with two houses and a large shed is lucky to fetch 1.1million yet you can buy a mcmansion in kellyville for 7 or 8 hundred k. It just doesnt add up sometimes does it ? Good luck with the sale, I have pulled mine off the market as I'm not prepared to give it away for what people are prepared to pay.

Redzone, if i was in QLD and could not sell her, it would be yours for sure. You helped me out heaps before with that leaking throttle body, it was much appreciated...

Would like to see it go to someone who appreciates the car, rather than to the wreckers!

Really...For how long? Your welcome to come have a look if you have the time. I have a day off tomorrow so i'm gonna try and diagnose whats up with the clutch if i can. I had a look under there a few days ago and there is a definite leak coming from the master slave cylinder.

Yeah i'm staying at newport, trying to arrange a meetup with jjh :) see if u can get either a complete clutch slave or a rebuild kit for it, thats definitely your problem :)

UPDATE:

Ok definitely needs new clutch kit. Something must be worn inside the clutch as its coming far to out when clutch is pumped.. New clutch kit will fix it.

Would like to get rid of this to someone on the forum (you will need to tow it from Melbourne, Clayton) otherwise its to the wreckers she goes unfortunately.
