So my question is this;
where do you find good jap import wheels in Oz? I know upgarage do them, but as they update their website so infrequently, nothing that I see and consequently want on their site is ever still in stock.
So where else?
I'm thinking 2nd hand rather than new, because there seems to be so few manufacturers who are willing to make something suitable, and as much as I love Simmons wheels, I just can't bring myself to spend $750 a wheel on a set of FR's. Not yet anyway. And the stuff that I've seen on tempetyres and everywhere else bores me.
So what do I want?
Ok, 17" diameter for a start, with good dish, 5 x 114.3, 7.5 - 9" wide, and an offset of between +3 and +12 would be just lovely. It seems that if it fits a pre AU Falcon, then it will fit my GSR-V, seeing as the set of wheels that are currently on the car are from exactly that.
I know it might seem like I'm asking a lot, but if you don't ask...
Any help is appreciated...

Yeah I suppose so, but I narrowly missed out on a set at upgarage that were considerably cheaper. I guess that's why I was reluctant to buy yours. They're actually still on their site... :?

yeah its all relative, see u only need 5 stud so thats a BIG advantage, those mahdi's i had will do 4 stud aswell, which is incredibly rare in a starion type of offset.
best to look on the drift club websites man, i know secretdrift up here in qld quite often has low offset 17's for sale. also start searching yahoojapan auction sites for wheels, there are plenty of companies in australia that specialise in buying parts/wheels from yahoojapan and bringing them over here. maybe try c red etc over in perth they may be able to point u in the right direction???

oh yeah and if you have trouble finding an import company, have a look in high performance imports magazine, they usually advertise in there....

All good advice...
By the way, I narrowly missed out on a set of wheels at C-Red. I went to their set and saw a set that I wanted right after you told me to check them out.
I'm not having much luck lately with things with wheels in the title; Mag wheels, steering wheels. :?
