Thanks......
Thanks......
Hi :D
Just want to publicly (to all on the Forum !!) thank Nachoman, JPC and Mr Bender for the weekend work on the cars. It was good fun and very productive getting a few things crossed off a long list of little things to do on my cars. It gives one great confidence to tackle new tasks with guys that really have an interest in the cars and making them go as well as they can. I may never have tackled even the easiest jobs if the moral and physical support was not there.
I look forward to helping out on someone elses car or dismantling another wreck :D
I am just reviewing the list for the JD and the much shorter list for the JB and it is great to cross things off with the knowledge they have been done right.
Thanks again I am .......:D :D

Awww...now ain't that nice
...just think of us all as a gestalt self-help group for sufferers of MSS, Ray. When one Starion hurts, we all hurt - and when we can help with fixing it, it's just as good as fixing something on our own car(s)

MSS - n. A serious sickness that often overtakes Starion owners, where an irresistible urge to acquire more than one Starion overpowers reason, logic and financial solvency. This sickness is highly contagious, and can be contracted by just knowing of another sufferer and his collection.
Early warning signs are that the potential patient will notice 'Starion for sale' ads, followed by telephone calls to other sufferers about a possible purchase of another Starion. The potential patient may ask other sufferers to assist in examining a prospective purchase. This is very dangerous, as existing sufferers demonstrate a complete inability to refuse and will convince the patient to purchase the car. If this occurs, infection is certain. In addition, serious injury may result to one or more persons as the sufferers and potential patient may have violent disagreements on who gets to buy the new beast.
MSS sufferers have been known to lie, cheat, steal and use other people's garages to support their habit, but to date murder is not a manifestation of the symptoms.
A positive side-effect of the disease is extreme altruism towards other Starion owners, whether MSS sufferers or not. This usually manifests itself in either initiating or participating in 'Starion fix-a-thons' or similar. Fixes are usually first class, take place in record time, and at a far lower cost than using conventional mechanics.
MSS sufferers will also drool over workshop manuals that they don't yet own. They also exhibit an inordinate desire to acquire spare parts even though they don't need tham, and are extremely inventive at finding places to hide them.
The only known cure to date is death. Bankruptcy has been known to temporarily cure the disease, but not for long - unless a lengthy jail sentence is involved.
