Starion at Summernats 2008

Post by dirty sanchez »

Starion takes out first and second place in Grab-a-Flag, 310hp on the dyno and wins Drivers Championship outright at this years Summernats.

Was anyone else there, did they get any photos?

We were there on Sat but saw no evidence of Starions and believe me we were looking!

In fact we were thinking of entering the Hoonmobile next year into the Show & Shine.

Gary you should definitely bring KIT down, it would stand a great chance in the Show & Shine.

Bring your cousin as well I am sure we could find a competition for her to enter. :D

Sorry, I was in a bit of a hurry so I didn't provide much in the way of details. Yes, it was the dirty sanchez starion. Steve took out first place in the grab-a-flag and I took out second. We did very well on all the events except the go-to-whoa where we barely snuck into the finals. Because the Drivers Championship is calculated on the outcome of all the driving events I did well enough to win it. Not bad for a Starion with 'only' 310rwhp!

Neither of us had a camera so we don't have a single photo from the whole event, so if someone was there and has some photos please let me know.

If anyone is coming to Canberra for the next Summernats we should book a club spot. Also, if you enter before the end of July it is only $110, but if you wait until after 1 November entry goes up to $250.

Regards,
Jamie

Nice work with the championship mate.

If we're going to book a club spot I'd love to bring the JD down!

It would be great to have a good showing from the Starion community for the next Summernats. As stated, if you book early it is quite cheap, then if you don't end up coming you can sell your ticket for nearly what you paid for it. An earlybird entry which includes a T-shirt and a bag of crap was $110 this year, a standard 3 day spectator pass was $105
