Im just curios what the average starion owners favourite car "scene" is. When I was looking for a car i was tossing up between getting a DR30 skyline an AE86 sprinter or a staz. I chose the staz as I could get one with a vr4 motor in it for that looks the best and goes harder than any of them for around the same price (actually cheaper) than the other ones stock (AE86 prices are ridiculous).

So I would say that I love the 80's turbo car scene. but I also really like the 70's v8's. such as the GTHO's and the lc lj torana's and the hk ht 2 door monaro's and the like.

I like the Staz because there are not many other cars that give you the bang for your buck, and the exclusivity in one package.
Having said that, If I ever replaced the Staz, it would be probably be for an S15 200SX/Silvia, or a 3000GT.
I REALLY like the series 8 Rx-7 too, but they are just too small inside for me. Such a gorgeous car though!
I do also rather like the last generation of Lotus Esprits too :drool:
For me it would be something modern, with the only exception being an Eleanor, (Mustang GT500KR)

Either get an Evo 6.5 or newer.
Or an original GH Sigma Turbo

yeah my bro had a rx7 series 6. it was nice, but yeah, really small inside. Yeah i totally forgot about evo's (mainly because they are way out of my price range at the moment) but that is hopefully what i will buy when i get a better job(finish uni) ill keep the staz of course doubt i will ever sell it (check the for sale section next week, lol).

AE86's and most RWD jap 80's cars float my boat. I'm also a big fan of 70's car's with heaps of chrome and class. Like an old fintail merc etc... Ideal cruising car would be a big HQ stationwagon, bench seat front, with a 5.7L v8 plonked in, tastefully lowered on period alloys (NOT big flat faced chrome wheels like seems to be a bit of a trend in NZ at the mo!). I like the old school style that use to be associated with "hoon cars" where the back of the car was higher than the front and had massive wide wheels on them. :beer
Ohh.. and an RX-4 coupe.

I would either have to say a mint original 1973 Mitsubishi GTO (god I wish I had never sold that car ) or get another clubman but this time instead of a factory racing motor stick a type-r integra motor in it.

its the wedge for me :D first and foremost but second choice ( dreaming ) would be an off chops series 6 rx 7 or a big hp skyline .. i really want a car that i can actually drive and even scare me .. hasn't happened yet.. lol not dreaming too hard it'd be a chaser, cedric or laurel but in reality it'd probably be a commodore cause at least you can walk into a mechanics and he'll know what car your driving and you can get parts of the shelf ... i'm off to shower now i feel all dirty all of a sudden.

I used to have one.... extremely low k's (under 100k) fully original nothing done to it at all.... sold it for $4000 but that was about 3 years ago when they were worth nothing, now you can't get a rusted heap for under 10k!

If I had a lot of money a 2006 Mustang GT. :D

If I could sell the track car a R33 Skyline GT (winks at Merlin)

Other favorites right now, but havent had a chance to drive one are a 71 dodge colt 2 door, and s30 240z

Was it silver? I've been keeping an eye out for a good GSR for a while. When I'm back in NZ I intend to have one gracing my garage!

No it was blue and just a GS model, GSR's are extremely rare kinda little rocking horse shitte... good luck in finding a proper GSR model, I only ever seen 3 and one got totalled....

Yeah I have only actually seen two GSR's in the flesh. A dark green one that use to be in Dunedin about seven years ago when I was first at uni and had no money to be buying and a dodgy resprayed one up in Dargaville that needed too much work. Any idea how many GTO's in total were made in NZ?
