While I was getting CTP insurance for my unregistered piece of shit today, I enquired about comprehensive insurance as I hoped to have the car on the road by the end of the week (yeah right). Anyway, this is what they came up with:
Bear in mind, this is a STOCK STANDARD Starion and I am 26 years old with a RATING 1...
The $350 is the excess, which seemed reasonable :) I did a lot of laughing and then left :)

Wasn't it a Westpac on the corner? I know of two Commbanks in Indro, neither of which were on corners and neither of which are there anymore :) If it is the one you're thinking of, it's gone too :) I'd say that if you haven't been here for that long, things have probably changed quite a bit (like the Indro hotel is no longer a dero bar).

hcca, i went with just car insurance, was only 18 with no rating... i went for fire an theft..was 622....full comp was like 1100...said unlimited mods...
seemed the best deal plus only ones who would insure me.

Shit.. glad i'm not 18 anymore :) Fire and theft is $145 for me. I know I can get a better quote than that RACQ one.. I just thought that it was funny considering my circumstances.

Try Shannons – I got a very reasonable premium for the new beast, agreed value, mods mods mods, living in syd and all that. What helped is I don't drive to work (so gets driven less than 8000k's a year) and it's locked up at night.
