Hey guys, thought I would post some pics of my recent trackday at Taupo racetrack here in New Zealand.

First off I've done a little bit of work to the ol' girl. I only had it a few weeks before ripping the front suspension apart and replacing everything.

I accumulated a few parts:

The suspension mostly apart:

Shocks, old vs. new:

Mm freshly machined rotors:

All back together:

Then I found some 15" Black Racing Watanabe/Minilite look-a-likes and chucked them on:

I think I will spray the wheels gunmetal grey and put them on my TE71 Corolla as I may have a set of 15x8" Work Ewing III's lined up for the beast.

Let me know what you guys think

Looks good, great thinking to overhaul the brakes before heading to the track. So many people throw all their money at the motor but real time is found in the corners with good brakes and shocks which work for more than a couple of laps. Keep the pics coming.

And the fact you actually need to slow down at some point on a track.

Looks good, hope you had fun.

Nah I didn't :(

I did all these mods just two weeks before trackday, went to go order the rear springs from George Stocks (who import the king springs) only to be told they would be over a month away ex aussie. Argh.

Snells and Chamberlain springs both could make up a pair of custom springs, but they were pricey and I would still be looking at a 10 day wait or so, at that stage I didn't want to risk it.
