Wank!!! Car is happily doing 200Kph at 4500rpm!? Gauges have been changed, recalibrated or modified. The gauge takes ages to move from zero.

Kph gauges (HCCA's gauges by the way) fitted to yank 2.6!?

Lets just say that I may know the owner of this car...

100km/h in second gear - yes this is correct, car runs an SR20DET with cams that allow it to happily rev to it's 7500rpm redline. Gearing issues aside, 1500rpm extra should give it 25% more speed in second gear.

Handbrake turn at 80km/h - no problem, just takes practice. I have aone them at 100km/h several times before, but you want good run off just in case and it makes a mess of your tyres. Happy to demonstrate for any visiting Canberra, or next time I'm at the track.

4500rpm at 200km/h - I don't think so, but it does 200 at around 5000rpm, not sure what a standard starion does, but once again gearing issues with the SR20 may affect this

Speedo accuracy - yes they are standard Aussie gauges under Hcca faces. The speedo was recalibrated when the SR20 was fitted, but has had a wheel change since then. Yes it reads a little high, but was test by the engineer to meet the ADR accuracy requirements (not sure whether this is +/-5% or +/-10%?).

10 second 100-200km/h - not sure about this, but this would be the cars strong point as 0-100km/h are hampered by traction issues as with most high power rear wheel drives.

Merlin has driven the car in a slightly less powerful state and seemed to think it went okay.

Darkelf has been in the car and didn't complain about it being slow either...

So yes the speedo probably reads a little high, but other than that I am happy to take people for a drive if they are in Canberra or when I am at the track if they would like to see how a 225rwkw starion goes.

dirty is right, you can do 100km/hr in second easy.

hey has any noticed chunk_head little thingo says "gone v8 hunting be back in seconds" is he talking about the v8 whooping his car in a straight line and it being all over in seconds?
My JA has perfect motor - FMIC - forgies - high flow head but...rusted front guards and keyed on every panel. Time to get serious or time to take it to the tip.
