Went out to the off-street drags tonight after a break from them and was surprised to see an immaculate Starion there racing. It was the yellow twin cam Starion that was for sale in the Trading Post (EVO-20T). A young guy bought it two days ago and took it for a run down the quarter. Its first run was a 13.4@107MPH and second saw it bog down and run a 14.3@107MPH. Not sure if it raced again. I had a chat to the young guy that owns it now and passed on the austarion website details so he should be on here soon enough. The car looks great and the body and paint is one of the straightest and cleanest I have seen.

Charlie.

ahh...

Thats one wicked starion, and 13.4 is not bad, easily lowered though
Good to see it getting raced

He paid close to the last asking price. It didn't come with the EVO20T plates though. It was also run on street tyres and using an old microtech DIGI 2 ECU. It needs a tune and those times will definitely drop with a larger turbo (currently has a high flow TCO6).

It was in the trading post for $15500 which seems abit rich but it's in mint condition!

For the same amount of money i'ld prefer a GSR-VR or a Chrysler Conquest (Leather interior :D ) import as most of them are in mint condition too! :D

well, Ive noticed last few months that on average the price of mint starions has been going up.. sure, for 15k u cold bbuy an R32 GTR, but realistically Im happy to think that IF I ever choose to sell my car I can get at least a partial return on my expenses.

Cars always look mint in pictures, you cant tell until you get up really close. Starions also came with leather, you get whatever the original owner ticked it up for.

This yellow JA looks even better in real life than it does in the pics. The only thing it needs is some decent seats :)

And maybe an ECU upgrade. But the rest is all top notch with all new parts and panels used.

Yeah, I think the original owner took out some stuff, like the seats etc and lowered the price. Top looking car with a top drivetrain. Just needs a BB turbo and a tune and it will run 11's (on slicks).

I gavce the new owner this website address so he should find his way on to here.
