EOI: 2007 Starion Calendar?

Post by jrod82 »

I wonder how many of y'all would be interested in this - the idea would be that members would submit photos for the calendar, then everyone votes on the top 12 (top 11 actually - since I'm organising this my car will definitely be included :D). I've done some investigation work and at this stage I reckon these would cost at most AU$20 shipped (NZ$20ish for kiwis), that's if we had about 50.

At this stage I'm asking 2 things:

1. Have you got a nice pic of your staz that you want to put forward for other members to vote on? Pics must be 4:3 (if not they'll be cropped) and at least 1200x900, preferably higher. They don't need to be taken by a professional, but if it's a scan of a polaroid that your grandma took 15 years ago as she went past it on the bus, then it's probably not suitable ;)

2. Should we have public holidays etc on the calendar? I anticipate that there will only be one run, so we'd need to include holidays for both countries, which could be a bit of a pain - most people don't care that it's Royal Queensland Show Day. On the other hand we could go overboard and include members birthdays etc? Thoughts?

This would need to be finalised by the end of November so I could get everything sent before Christmas, so we need to get things rolling. Who's in?

Sounds good. Stock widebodys aren't exactly exciting, but digitalsko's JB is expertly styled :D

can i artificially colour my airdam? :D

I'm thinking what if everyone sends me their 1 best pic (username.jpg, 800x600) and i can upload it to the pics section of the site? Maybe link the username under the pic to their forum profile or something. Come 3rd week of November, we can list a poll on the forum and the top 12 get a month each.

The Austar calendar should only contain Austar member's cars so i guess entrants will only be members who have contributed to the forum, not random people sending in pics without ever really helping out around the place, cleaning up, washing the dishes etc. I'm looking in your direction Kelfy!

Sound ok?

I guess the final photo could be a collage? no cheesy feathering tho, maybe we should set up a template... One big pic, with 3 smaller ones along the bottom, top or side edge? Real sexy-like. Hoons is good at sexy-like! She's bringing sexy back :) yup. The calendars gonna look real phat. yup.
