Coming soon (hopefully) after a long 12 months of being lazy and busy and everything else that goes with it, after smashing my car into a statesman finally the damage will all be resprayed to match the rest of the car. (yay) now that im unemployed i have the time to do these things to my car. but the problem now is i dont have the money. But soon there shall be photo's of Dopey-1 with a touched up paint job, photo's havent been seen in a damn long time.
I dunno why im writing this but im bored and felt like being annoying.

hey Cam
same here
Unemployed (doing little contract work for cash + dole)
Starion is in having $1000 of rust removal, panel repair (from when I drove it in to a pylon), and some repaint work. (done on BarterCard, not cash, I had heaps owing to me from previous employer)
Also Galant decided to die as well, stupid POS, had a sale lined up, WOF isn't due for 3 months, so I expect it to fly through. But oh no, HUGE power steering leaks, tyres are old steel belted radials, and where the form says Tread (mm) he didn't even measure it, and just put N/A because of their age and condition. Oh and the front engine mount decided to rott away too.
Like you, I have heaps of time, but no money.
Handy thing is though, with having two cars (even if one has no WOF (Staz), and the other drives like a monkey (Galant)), if I get stuck, I can still drive to my local Repco.

The photo is a bit dark cant see that its really the wrong colour, still needs cut and polish for the whole car to get it all shiny, *sighs* shall be waiting to see how bad it stands out before i worry about spraying the whole car to get it all the same colour.

Ah crap.
Well it looks alright in the pic anyway. Shame about the paint colour, suprised they didn't paint a sample and have you check the colouration. What colour are you going, going to put in a pearl? Metallic or gloss?
I want red with orange perl, but Ill do that when I have a spare $1500. And red is apparently an asshole colour, so dunno how that effects the quote price.
Mine is being done by a guy who's work I've seen, and its awesome, and he's even redoing my pin stripes. So I'm not worried there.
My car is currently Grey/Silver, with black panel, and lots of that sexy light grey filler. But they're doing a good job so far, taking their time, but apparently it'll be ready in a few days. (taken two weeks, because I'm not paying cash, paying on BC points which kinda puts me last in the que), but I can't wait to get her back!
Company used to race Starions, so I go for a 2 minute look and stayed for a 2 hour conversation.
red paint

isn't red more expensive due to higher pigmentation?
did you see they sprayed cams hair too? :o

That's why it's a good idea to get enough paint to do the whole car in one hit , I know many people who have been down your road (including myself).

The plan was to just spray that part as a temp solution while i fix a few other things before i look at respraying it the colour that i really want the car. i might just leave it until the rest is fixed which will be a fair while.
it looks better than it did though
