If you're going to change lanes, PLEASE make sure there isn't a motorbike next to you... it friggin hurts! not only that she doesn't have insurance and now i have a broken bike, helmet, jacket and gloves to cover... let alone the bruises :S

Did you hit her? Or was it someone you know?
I find that the Starion is really bad for blind spots. This may be due to my driving position (I'm 6' something) & I end up looking directly through the thick b-pillar.

Deeks, I hope you got her details anyway and filed a police report at your local cop station. Have you got insurance? If so, check if they have a legal department to see if they can help claim at least the excess off the offending driver.
Its tough to get money out of someone when they're not insured, but its worth at least writing letters of demand etc, just in case they grow a conscience and pay up. Good luck.

yeh i was the one on the bike, hence the bruises :( done the police report last night. just gonna head out to the docs today to check out some of the sore spots, then get some quotes. She seems willing to cover the costs but i don't think she knows how high the quote is going to be... :x i know for sure the helmets cracked and thats 350 straight up, and my jacket wasn't cheap either... then theres the bike

you get 3rd party bodily insurance with registration here, not sure if i'm gonna have to claim on that yet. Bike rego here is about half the price of car rego, untill u go over 600cc.

hope everything turns out well at the doctors mate.
Riding motos in australia is a risky thing, drivers just aren't trained to look for em sad but true.
at least you can slink your way out of traffic jams heheh.

Hey Deeks, hope you're not too damaged.
You must be able to claim against her greenslip, surely? Unless she was unregistered as well.
Who was the greenslip with? The RTA should be able to tell you. Get on to whoever and get a claim in ASAP
