Mitsubishi Pulls out of WRC......again

Hot off the press from a Mitsubishi press site .
Mitsubishi has pulled out of the WRC and does not at this stage intend to re-enter until 2008 . This decision has been made so that all Mitsubishi Executives can concentrate on the rebuilding of Mitsubishi's Domestic and Global image , and the re-structuring of the Corporation.
They will however continue involvement in the Dakar Rally . (WTF )
Bugger Bugger Bugger Bugger Bugger Bugger Bugger Bugger Bugger .
This is a BIG shock and must be a very recent and sudden decision, especially as , not only has the Lancer been getting competitive again quickly , but as recently as Rally Oz , Andrew Cowan was saying that the Team is really improving all over and the new Mivec based Engines they had developed for next season were going to hammer everything else .
I can't help but think the decision by the plebs and Gaylords at Subaru to pull out from almost all Rallying around the world has somehow influenced this .
Obviously the survival of Mitsubishi is of most importance but . . . I don't think this is a very smart move . :glare:
I think I'm gonna throw up . . . . . . . . . . . . .
