had the weirdest thought as i was sittin here bored at work. imagine if you met the person who originally bought your car back in 82 or whatever
id say cars usually stay in the same region most of their lives - so the chances of someone spotting it would be feasible
anyone had this happen?
COME BACK HERE C%#T, WHY DIDNT YOU TICK THE LSD OPTION!!!?

Yes. I recently met the original owner of one of my cars (just before I bought it oddly enough) He bought in brand new 22 years ago. A mate of his had a Cordia and he couldn't bring himself to buy one. He went to Dandenong Mitsubishi as they advertised a yellow one for 20k. He looked at it and went
and said how about the same deal on the red one over there. And out he went with it.
On a side note, he also found one of those Starion models someone was selling at a motor show. So he bought it, painted it red and even made little number plates to match. It's in his little trophy cupboard on display....

I've considered trying to contact the original owner of my car, the trouble is, he's a famous jockey, so contacting him may be a bit hard..

I've been in the factory that my car was assembled in, does that count?
Probably not... it's a Mitre 10 now.
I don't think I would like to meet the person that decided to buy a Cordia in the Hutt 20 years ago, or anyone else from the Hutt for that matter, they can be a bit strange...

My Owners manual (are these rare) has the name and address of the original owner... Though they may not be living in the same house anymore.

The guy i bought the car off was also the original owner of my starion, he even gave me a microfilm with all the starion part numbers from mitsubishi, but its pretty useless these days.

I'd be a bit embarrassed to be honest...
Considering how good it would have looked back in '82 when it was first rolled out of the showroom...
Fast forward 23 years...Faded paint, cracked dash, stripped interior.....
If the original owner was still alive, I think that seeing it like it is now would probably kill them....
It upsets me enough, but the wallet is trying hard to recover from a severe case of anorexia at the moment.......

Deeks went for a job interview, they started talking about starions and worked out the interviewer was the original owner of my JD.
Needless to say he got the job

For real??
Damn, that shows how small the world really is....and how big an impact a starion can make on someones life :D :D
