This is probably not new, but I found it while looking for something completely different:

Look up Starion :)
I suppose if you look through the list, there isn't much from the 80's that does particularly well, but the Starion rates worse than the Sigma
Also, it's kind of suprising since the Starion was built as a race car to some extent and was supposed to have structural elements to reflect this.

I would say this is because Starion's are going a lot faster when they hit something :D

I would say this is because Starion's are going a lot faster when they hit something :D
Going faster around the corner you mean :D and then into a tree 'cause the driving wheels are on the wrong end
