Viscous fan

Post by Junkers »

Hey

My viscous fan has been making some strange noises lately, it doesn't appear to be keeping up with the water pump pulley rpm (while the engine is fully warmed up) and the heat gauge appears to be showing the engine a little warmer than usual.

Is there anyway to fix this or do I just replace the whole unit?
Watch your speed - It's virtually impossible to pick it out of the carpet if it gets blown off the table.

Normally you can just replace the centre of the fan, but be warned that they are not normally cheap new.

Maybe it's time to go electric.
