looking at becoming a starion owner!
looking at becoming a starion owner!
hey dudes, my names nick and I live in Melbourne, currently drive a lightly modified CC GSR (fmic zorst injectors etc) and I've been thinking of selling it recently and buying either a JA or JB Starion :D
I'm a real starion newbie so can people tell me what to look for when looking at them, tell-tale signs of rust things like that? The car I buy will be a daily driver, not so much a restoration job, so I'd wanna purchase one in drivable road-worthy type condition!
thanks guys

This was asked recently. You may find some answers in this thread:

When checking for rust:
Check the all along the bottom of the door sills
Check the the bottom of the quarter panels
Check along the top of the tailgate where the hinges sit
Check just infront of the windscreen, theres a black plastic grill which if you lift up can reveal some money saving decisions.
Also pays to have a look under the wheel archs
You'd be lucky to find a starion without some sort of rust but just make sure it's fixable :)

Watch your speed - It's virtually impossible to pick it out of the carpet if it gets blown off the table.

Doesn't look like a starion to me. Tail-lights are missing the reverse cutouts in the bottom left of the light?
