scumongenesis stariongelion, Death and Rebirth

Lemmi see here. Saturday night my older brothers Silvia came to grief in a ditch @ 180kmh resulting in the death of a starion oil cooler, serious damage to my gallant intercooler, the loss of 3 of the lightest mag wheels I have ever heard of, the repositioning of the engine 10deg to the right, loss of sump, relocation of the driver side chassis rail to the gearbox tunnel, sway bars torn out of sub frames, struts torn from body work, windscreen seal ‘shrinking’ in size, and the loss of almost every single steering and suspension component. And I know most of you are thinking ‘good’ but bear in mind this Silvia was one of the first in Perth and can only be blamed for starting a trend, not jumping on the bandwagon. It was also one of the more powerful silvias around hosting a wide range of SR-20 setups during its life from NA to insane turbo jobs with uncontrollable boost (man that thing was fun) anyway, it will be sorely missed by all who knew it and will go down in history as the ‘that loud obnoxious low flying jet’ the hunt for a new body shell started about 18 hours after the accident if anyone knows of an S13 shell in Perth / WA please let me know. The following night the widebody went for its first drive with a manual, still a lot of work to go (pedals in the wrong spot, cross member mount is a bit pissed) but it seems I have found the cause of it going slow, it was ‘lousy heap of shit auto sapping all the power’ syndrome. I don’t know what was wrong with the auto, and I don’t care, but it must have had a standby pressure of 300psi or something to draw that much power out of the engine, (clearly faulty, maybe blocked filter?) even with the auto crown gear it went a little sideways thru a roundabout somewhere in the realms of 2500rpm in 1st. VS its auto that would not even chirp the wheels at any engine speed. My dodgy turbo that I built when pissed is great, I stuffed the exhaust clearance up that much it doesn’t boost till about 4700rpm, then wind out 2nd, grab 3rd and stop accelerating (just cruse) and all you can hear for the next 20 to 30 seconds is the boeing 747 under the bonnet switching its engines off. Man it sounds cool, and you get some weird looks as you put past people at 1000rpm with the turbo still screaming its head off. I love it. Anyway, I guess I should do some work, last I checked they where still paying me.
