hrm... so how much does it cost to get a tyre shop to swap tyres onto rims?
and are they road legal for the drive down?

Just recently I paid $60 to get 4 tyres swapped over.

$15 per rim. Take off old tyre. Put on new tyre. Balance.
It's a pretty standard rate in this neck of the woods.

Bugger!

All I got charged last time I had it done was $5 a rim.

I suppose rent and lifestyles are more expensive in your neck of the woods...

I have these tires and they held like glue until I got my Super 16G, they took my 2.1 60 ft time and made it a 1.8 :o. I have the H compound (60AA), but these may be the R compound (50AA). If they're the R's and not heat-cycled they won't last long at all.

Don't you mean ALL the fun? ¼-Mile racing isn't fun for me, it's just something I do to see what my car is capable of. Street racing is kinda' fun, the look on those guys' faces is priceless when they get OWN3D.
