TrackDay - Wed 26 Jan, 2005

Post by Camotec »

Hey guys,

Just letting you know that I will be going to Wakefield next wednesday to do a bit of driving or worst case be going for a look see.

Just need to install another spring and remove some powersteering lines and i be right. If anyone is thinking they will be coming along let me know,
but this isn't a major meet or anything just going for some drive time.

Oh and if you are coming and you have something to remove the power steering connections from the steering box bring them along, i think they call them crows feet spanners.

Cheers
Ben

Crows feet spanners hey? That's pretty funny.

So you starting to get a bit shakey? A bit nervous? Is it playing on your sub-conscious? The big ONE ZERO ZERO ZERO? You know everyone’s eyes are on you now. You know it better be something good. Something worth while. I'll settle for a bunch of naked ladies, but I feel some other members of the forum won't settle as easy as I. I shudder to think of lengths your must reach to satisfy some. My heart is with you my son, be strong, spontaneous, courageous, and good to your mother.

i have nfi what your talking about but when he says crows feet spanners he means open ended ring spanners, they are the 2nd greatest tool ever invented (greatest being the breaker bar).

I thought 'crows feet' were more like an open ended socket? I used to use them to remove O2 sensors from cars. What's an open ended ring spanner look like? Are we thinking of the same thing?

I got the power steering lines off the steering box with just open ended 14mm and 17mm spanners. I removed the heat shield and dump pipe to make enough room.

I pr. won't be able to make the track day, but may try for a later date.

Brakeline spanners

Post by dirty sanchez »

Can't remember there real name, but thats what they are often referred to as. Anyway I have them in the right size to fit the power steering lines on the Starion Ben. Feel free to drop round and use them/borrow them.

Pity I didn't know about the track day earlier, just made plans for the 26th today.... damn it.

There are crows feet sockets and crows feet spanners, wouldn't mind a set of the sockets.

I will take you up on that offer Steve, I will call you later in the week.
Do you have a hack saw too?

it will be good to see you out cooks.

I might come down and watch. Still running in the engine so it will be good for it to have a run to Wakefield.

What time are you guys going to be there?

If i did want to have a cruise around the track, whats the cost?
