Not driving that one home

Crashed my Starion on the weekend, bummer.
I was driving with my local car club in the Highclere hill climb. Too fast around a corner, the back overtook the front and I hit a bank sideways while going backwords. Damage on left hand side. Bent frount and rear lower control arms, steering components, wheels and there is one little dent in the body just behind the rear wheel.
Im glad I got away with it with so little body damage.
I will straighten it up and get it back on the road just as soon as I locate some lower control arms.

Need to slow down a bit

Go Hard of Go Home Allan; that's what we build 'em for.
I know it hurts, but the only thing that should stop us is a zero balance bank account
and a max'd out credit card!
Just think how much better it'll be once it's back on the track.
Bummer non the less. :beer

At least you did it in competition and have photos and a good story to tell. Much better than when some bum hits on on the street. Good luck with the repairs.

I often loop it in the race track, but there is usually nothing to hit there.
It would be very sad if someone hit my on the road, no good story, just damage.
Priced some new lower control arms, $55 frount, $88 rear so I will get away with it fairly cheaply I think.
Somone had a video camera on the corner where I crashed, I am trying to get a copy of the footage.
Thanks for your replies
Allan

G'day fellas,
Of course, what Allan isn't telling you is exactly HOW he got home since he wasn't driving home. I got a call at 2pm on Sunday from Allan who said in a somewhat mischievous voice "feel like going for a drive"? Good thing he's got a big wallet and a partner who'll drive clean across the state to pick him up. Next big purchace on his list? Car trailer.
