Hi mates...just checking out your great website. I'm from the US and own an 89 Chrysler Conquest TSi with a few mods. This looks like a good place to gather info/ideas on these hard to find cars. I may ask a few questions from time to time.

Check out my CarDomain site too.

Welcome to the nuthouse,

Plenty of scope to ask questions and see what is going on here. Also good to see a number of you guys in the States joining in with us here in Oz.

A word of warning, member "Darkelf" is the chrome/polish/sparkle king here in Sydney and will take any attempts to dethrone him as an act of aggression :D (he's actually a very good guy and we love him - well we like him, a bit).

Cheers dude

He's alright, sometimes, maybe, perhaps.

Welcome, good to see an Aussie made part on your car with your Magna manifold! I am in the process of doing the same mod soon.
Only a few of us run 2.6's over here. The 2.6 is much heavier than the 2.0 4G63 SOHC which is standard Starion fittment for us.
If people are going big mods it's the VR4 head rather than thinking about fitting a 2.6 even though they are available and parts are dirt cheap.
This is because the 2.6 engine was built here by Mitsubishi Australia for many years. All recent stuff was FWD (Magna) but they did RWD as well years ago and parts are still around.

Also it's a widebody free zone down here! As far as we can tell less than 10 in the whole country all privately imported. Only 2 conquests, the rest are Starions imported from Japan or the UK.

Have you got any dyno numbers for your car?

Alot of owners here want the Magna intake...it's 100% better than the crappy stock TBI setup. I haven't dyno'ed it with a good tune yet, and won't get to until springtime now...winter is about to set in and I will park it till warm weather. This winter I am installing Wiseco Forged pistons, Aluminum flywheel, and a ported head.

Too bad there are so few Widebody cars there...must be a real pain to find body parts. Other than high shipping charges, you can get anything you need for yours stateside for a good price.

You will find helpful owners at www.starquestclub.com

We may not have widebodies, but we have plenty of vented bonnets :P

:x too bad we couldn't swap all our extra LSD's for your hoods :D

...we only had the vented hood option in 1983, so they are hard to find with all the owners here looking for them.

Hey HotRod, nice to see you here, I just joined myself. I thought I'd throw up a pic of my engine since you threw yours up. Although mine isn't the beauty yours is, it still makes 233 RWHP and 313 RWTQ. Cheers.

By the way what boost was 233HP was it about 17psi? Any chance of posting your dyno sheet?

Yup, 17 psi, I don't have any fuel mods at all, so 17 psi is pretty much my limit at the moment. I'll scan the dyno plot tonight for ya'.
