Post by jdstaz »

since i bought my starion a few weeks ago, all my friends have been humouring me on how much i paid for my car. of course hardly any of them knew what a starion was. i got anywhere between $8000-$15000
haha. so check out my pics...

and tell me what you think i paid for it.
as u will see its a JD is in very good condition, 154000 kms, evo injection,
i bought it without a turbo or intercooler, but it did come with an apexi air intake.
i just want to see what all u guys think i paid for it

I'd say $1,500. Nice car either way.

Considering the lack of turbo & cooler, and the fact that the front bar has been butchered, definitely not more than 2500. Nice car though, hope you get it all running soon! Who's the headless person in the background??

looks pretty schmick, a good condition staz goes for more then 2500, and i think JDs are worth a bit more then JAs. i dunno how legal cutting the front bar like that is! pity

Nice

Nice JD Id say 1500 to 2000 it woudl have been worth way more with a good front bar no chequer plate and standard engine.
Next question what kind of brain dead, mindless, moronic, half witted idiot cuts half of a JD front bar out :? :? :x :x  . Bring back capitol punishment I say.
Chequer plate should only carry a life sentence though.

Oooohh, I have some chequer plate stuff left at home......

Dunno about butchering the bumper though. I guess the idea of a huge front mount was in their mind when they did that.

2K, not running, half finished project.

If I don't find a JB-style full fibreglass front bar/spoiler, I may just have to resort to cutting my JB bar similar to that :D

i love how you all noticed the butcher job on the front bumber! lol! the reason the guy before me cut it was to fit a huge cooler in there, but still i wouldnt have done it! im going to dress it up though, i was thinking getting some stainless steel mesh and cover it up, like on some of those lancers. or buy one of those bumpers from coltspeed.
i didnt get an aftermarket computer either, i forgot to mention that.

i think the Chequer plate idea is awesome, its better then having all those stupid holes in your dash after ripping out those shitty stock stereos, lol
oh yeah hey flappa, if thats not evo injection, what is it then?

Thats a Sonata intake manifold with a larger throttle body adapted to it.

Have a look at the firewall end of the intake manifold... you can see where the factory Sonata throttle body used to bolt up to.

Lucky for you stainless steel mesh only carries a 15 year non parole sentence.
