Dynoed the Starion

Post by dirty sanchez »

We dynoed the starion on Saturday. It made 190rwkw, or 200rwkw in shootout mode. The computer still needs some fine tuning for cold start and it hesitates on gearshifts. Even with this it ran a 5.27sec 0-100kmh without the stick tyres :D I took a photo of the dyno printout, I'll upload it shortly.

Finally, the starion goes, stops and handles.

We could have made a LOT more power but picked a quite conservative turbo to make sure it's got plenty of midrange punch. Made 190rwkw on about 15psi (not sure exactly what boost but it's on the dyno chart)

hehe, it's gonna take me to the end of the year to catch up  and then I have to add an extra 10% to it to account for the starion's rwd power loss :x

Excellent work :) Those twin cam two litres sure can make some power.

Pity its a Nissan engine though ;)

Now go out and enjoy it :D

Dyno graph is here:

http://nttkd.dyndns.org/starion%20dyno% ... chart.jpeg

It's an S13 red-top SR20DET with 550cc injectors, GT28RS (Disco Potato) turbo with 3 inch exhaust and FMIC. It's running a Wolf 3D computer.

With the Wilwood brakes, suspension work and engine it's now a pretty good all-round car.

Yeah, we're out at Wakefield pretty regularly. I'm not allowed to drive it for 3 months, but Steve will be out there for sure.
