Got the Sigma dyno'd (and subsequently written off!)

What a beast! 91.1 hp at the wheels.
This is what sucks -
Engine: 2.6L bored 40 over, high compression pistons, cam, port+polish, no balance shafts, extractors+2" exhaust, Holley 280CFM carby.
Stock power is listed at 76kw at the fly. Assuming 20% drivetrain loss, this is about 61 k at the wheels or 81 hp.
So thousands of dollars worth of mods have yielded 10 hp!! YEAH!! :)
Haha.. well, at least that overall it's a 12.5% power increase.
Check out my sexy power curve:

HCCA i was just thinking to go with your putting of the 2JZ in the Starion maybe you should put the RB26DETT in the Sigma? That way if someone beats the Staz you can always go home and get the Sigma to really make them blush.
Just another stupid idea.

Dump the holley and get a set of twin webers. It'll never really go using a holley.
The astron in my dads old race car had something like 280hp at the fly on webers, and later on, 320hp with injection. Thats normally aspirated and on an engine dyno... and that was back in the mid 80's.

280hp.. that's pretty cool :) Nah, i'm over it - all the engine mods were done about 3 years ago and I went to get it tuned up... it was doing 66hp before the tune! I'm selling the car soon to pay for the Starion :)
Cam, nice idea, but I think i've spent enough already :)

Got hit on a roundabout.. took the rear door out. It's $1200 damage which coincidentally happens to be the red book value of the car.. I was going to sell it anyway, now's it's getting sold as parts.

Sorry to hear it.
I hope your 2nd starion is nearing completion to minimise walking/pushbike work.

Still waiting to get the head put on it, but then it's pretty much ready to go (will still need a bit of cleaning up, but it should be driveable and registerable).
Oh well, the bonus about losing the Sigma is that I get some money to work on my good Starion :)
Btw, are you able to help me with those engine mounts sometime? I've been procrastinating, but I want to get the damn thing running now! Sick of looking at it :)
