Well FnF was on telly on Monday night so we watched it for something to do -

These lines I loved -

1. "its gots a full Motec exhaust". Uh Huh
2. "I live life a quarter mile at a time". Must take a while to go anywhere then
3. "We'll get a container load in from Japan overnight". Wow!
4. "you can see how it will look, you can have it any colour you want" Really

And so many more.

Yeah I liked that one too.

Just remembered another -

"If you cant find the right tool in this workshop you dont deserve to be around cars". They obviously have speaking tools as well by that line.

A classic from the past (I think Hoongirl posted it once upon a time)

Fantastic!
I've never seen that poster before!

I enjoyed that movie very much.
Most of the laydees looked tasty, there were some hot cars, the acting was reasonable, and the music soundtrack kicked ass!
However, it was also full of flaws and inaccuracies, but let's face it, it was meant to be a fun, don't take it too seriously kind of movie, and that's what it was. Sure, I laughed out loud when the the bolts in the floor starting popping out because the manifold was in danger, and I wondered why there was any recognisable evidence of a car when the NAWS bottles exploded, and I also wondered when the several minute 1/4 mile race would end. Plus I also wanted to know why if the bad guy was spotted on the street, recognised, and chased, he wasn't busted upon returning home.
However, I loved the wheel stand performance to start the last drag race, and some of the driving was reasonably clever.
Like it or not, it set a benchmark.

My 2 cents...

honestly what really shit me, was that anyone who would beleive a supra will beat a ferrari :glare: has their hand on it. Ferrari's are purpose built for high speed. I just feel that is the biggest flaw.

the supra that starred in FnF was for sale a year ago.
see if i can dig up the ad, i might even have the car in a mag. It's a damn fast car, the ferrari drag may've been true. Though no std supra would stand a chance. I have a serious performance vid that has a rx3 beating a Diablo in a drag race. Convincingly.
I guess anything is possible with the right setup, and driver.
Though i could be waaaaay off.

i read somewhere that that supra cost $150 000 US(!) to build.... you would wanna be able to smoke ferraris....

im pretty sure the supra has in the region of 600hp too....

but what about 2fast 2furious?

that was a seriously crap sequel....

I actually thought the wheelstand was the worst.
Due to the smoke comming from the tyres of the charger, i havnt been to many drags but me thinks if the tyres are smoking there nont griping the road, but i may be wrong. :D

yep, if the tyre is spinning then it cant have the grip to lift the front up and hold it there......

yes the movie is inacurate, but the thnig about the supra race is that it was infact inacurate, the ferrari would have got convincingly stomped allot more than it did, a stock supra does the 1/4 in 13.5 vs 13.0 for the rarri, i wouldnt take a lot to beat that overpriced badge.
