Why do we love Starions?

just wondring why everybody loves these cars....
I cant speak foranyone else but my past starions have been nothing but a way to empty my wallet and a continual source of frustration, except for my current one which seems to be largely gremlin free, yet i still love them...
and if you go back through some of the old threads then you see im not the only one to suffer from starion gremlins....
Is it just a financial thing? if money wasnt an issue how many of us would still be driving a staz'? The only car i liked as much as my staz' was my old integra but even that slowly became boring, but the starions just seem to get my imagination going into overdrive....
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
oh, and when i said "if money wasnt an issue" i dont mean ferrari sort of money, i just meant who would rather be driving something else but cant afford it yet....

Seeing as though I already own a Widebody and a Straight body, I think that my next step would be a Gullwing. For sure.

1. it was all I could afford that had good horsepower and wasnt front wheel drive.
2. Starion handling in the corners, well that just rocks the casbah.
I hate my Galant, and every other FWD for cornering, understeer sucks the big one, in the Starion if it starts to understeer - I just tap the gas and round she goes!
I feel safer in the Starion, I find it easier to control in the turns than any other car for $1500.
Also its rare and has a sporty look. Cordia is too common, Lancer EVO is too common, VR4 is too common, a RWD 4G63 Turbo that you can count the number you have seen on one hand - now thats the business right there.

If money wasnt a issue? (how it seems to always be with us starion owners)
I'd keep my car and make it brand new..
Theres nothing in my opinion that looks better than a widebody starion (BESIDES A DODGE VIPER) but that has to wait a few years.. :D

EVO6.5 Tommi Makenin is the best EVO for handling and performance
EVO2 is the best for drag (has higher comperssion pistons than EVO1 factory, but not as much as the EVO3, although you'd want the EVO3 turbo ideally). Its all a hell lot lighter than EVO4-6 and EVO7-8
Cheap option is buy a GSR, and throw an EVO engine in there - works out cheaper, you save a few grand by not going full bling bling.
Looks wise, EVO5 is my favourite :D

sorry to break the starion/mitsubishi cycle, but if money was no object i would be driving a 1989-1992 Toyota Supra GT Twin Turbo with some nice performance mods.
its only a problem because im too young to insure it :(
