Moving the forum

Post by Alspos »

Hello all,

As you know, the forum isn't all that reliable nowadays.

Matt (Decoy) is going to organise to have the forum shifted to a different server. Unfortunatley it is going to cost money to transfer it and keep it up and running. And as he is currently living overseas it makes administering the site a little awkward at times.

So...I have set up a paypal account for anybody who wishes to donate to the cause and keep the forum up and alive.

The paypal account is austarion @ live.com.au

This account is not linked to any account of mine and I am happy for any and all to audit me on any moneys that enter and leave this account. I wish to be totally transparent in all dealings with this account.

First payment will be for the moving of the database and setup of the new site (approx $200). We expect an ongoing charge of $5-10 per month to keep it running. We will look into incorporating ads and so forth in the future to avoid costs if it becomes an issue.

Thanks,
Alan (ALSPOS)

I've loitered with intent o n this site for ages but haven't made many posts ... mainly b/c my JD has been a nature strip ornament for the last 3 or 4 years while my 2 kids have taken centre stage...

I'm really keen to get my passion back on the road and find this forum a wealth of knowledge and experience.

I don't have much surplus cash these days but my contribution is on its way... and worth every penny

And one more thing, myself and Decoy want to thank everyone who has sent money thus far, your generosity is far and above any expectations we had.

We have well and truly surpassed to original monies asked for, these funds will keep Austarion alive for quite a while to come.

Thank you again for everybody's involvement in making this forum one of the best and most informative on the web.
