It needs some light panel work, fix up the door gap (by trimming down the edge of the door) sand blast and paint. I even have the paint to supply them.
Remember it's a rally car, so not looking for a street machine finish! Just smooth and glossy!!

So what do you recon they quoted me???

I'll ship the car to you fugazi for that price :D :D

The price they gave me is with me pulling EVERYTHING off the car.
Bumper bars and tail lights, all the glass, external trim, grills, vents. Even the headlight covers!!!

Sounds like fun

Mine was 1500 and I took the easy exterior pieces off mine, a few small dents and a little rust in the bottom of a door, same colour, no door jambs. I would hope around 2k as a ballpark

Ok, So I talked to the sand blaster guy first, he said $1100 to blast it, that was included the door jams.

The painter guy when he come over to see the car, said... After much build up about how good the work they do is, Told me 7.

So I asked? 7? 7 what?

Bugger me when he said $7K :o :o :o rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl

And he was reluctant to say that the price included the sand blasting :x

Needless to say, He wont be painting my car!

And one of my mates on here uses them to paint their work cars, he says they do a bit of a rough job LOL

The guy that had a look today, took a long time to get to the point, and he said $2K. And thats with me still helping and supplying the paint :(

Oh, and Aaron...... STOPIT :D

For those sorts of prices you could buy all the necessary equipment, put yourself through a car painting course and do it yourself!
