Soooo, I was having a play on the interwebs the other evening, was looking around http://www.factorychryslerparts.com/default.aspx at factory Starion (conquest) part numbers.

On the off chance, I fired off an email to Mitsubishi here in Christchurch. Apparently, all the factory part numbers matched up to what they were supposed to. Most of the stuff was no longer available, but some stuff was still available ex japan.

As an example, the five plastic trim pieces glued to the edge of the rear hatch glass were still available, all be it around $250 + gst + shipping for the complete set, hah.

What I really wanted was a new pair of external lower door glass trims, as mine are old and brittle and scratching the shit out of the glass. Not available though :(

those rubber external trims are the bane of our existence over here, they rust really easily so the rubber lifts from the metal on the ends... if only they were still available.. :(
