Spark plug tester: Does anyone know how to use this tool?

Post by enthuzed »

This has been sitting in my garage for a while and I came across it today and pondered it's use.
It's got a crude feeler gauge on it, the fil e's use is obvious, and there's another bit that bends the plug terminal.

Here is a pic:

Looking at the top of it there is a copper bit protruding through the plastic molding and there's a small globe in the middle of it.
How do you use it?

And what does the bit on the very left do? It's flat, uniform thickness (maybe 2mm) and chromed.
Reduce fuel costs by 15-20% & cut emissions by 1/3rd...
Increase engine performance & prolong engine life...

Ok, with the engine running, place copper pad onto spark plug wire, Light will blink in time with spark pulses, the long thin strip on the left of pic is to clean Insulator nose of carbon deposits.

Hope that helps :beer
