Guys,

I want to get some feedback on the different Graphic Design Software that is out there.

I'm looking for something that will generate more of a design not so much as photo editing. eg. something to help create a design that could be eventually screen printed onto a t-shirt for example.

Anyone had experience with that sort of thing?

Cheers,

Pete, some cues to experienced people are right here:

Maybe order yourself a shirt at the same time unless you don't like the designs...

Cheers, I did the first two runs of t-shirts. But I'm looking at doing different designs not Starion related.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind another Starion shirt (I only have 4 at the moment)... :beer

A relatively easy program is CorelDraw. Vector based, good with fonts and a lot of printers can use the outputted files. Not like photoshop etc that is bitmap type image manipulation. I used this when I wasn't an unemployed bum.

It really depends what sort of effect you're after.

For vector based work I'd use Illustrator and photo-manipulation (pixels) photoshop.
