it's 40 degree heat down here in sydney, and my team were complaining the air con isn't keeping up.. i reminded them of how fortunate they are to not be stuck in the mids of a freakin category 5 cyclone. boo freakin hoo it's hot. that shut them up.

I pray that you all remain safe and sound.

Possessions come and go - the happiest people are those who do not get attached to their possessions. To everyone who has to bear this force of nature, nobody can know what you are going through unless they have witnessed such an event themselves. I have witnessed a similar catastrophe. In your case it's water and now wind. In my case it was fire.

The emotional toll of such a life threatening event is enough - please don't let the loss of property add to this. Your minds hold all the skill to get it all back.

My thoughts are with those Queenslanders affected by recent events and now are facing another catastrophe with the cyclone that is about to hit.

Stay safe. :(

What have you Queenslanders done to upset the weather gods so much ? Seriously though, I hope you have all managed to get through these last few weeks without too much heartache.
Where I live, the weather never gets too hot, never floods, no cyclones, moderate rainfall, never snows, & no dust storms. Its just a beautiful part of Australia to live.

This great country has copped it hard in the last two or three weeks: Massive floods then that huge cyclone in Queensland, then floods in country Victoria followed by massive rains and flooding in Melbourne, sweltering heat in NSW and fires in WA!
Anything I've missed?

...i guess you forget to mention smaller TC Anthony that hit Ayr Bowen, Mackay region NQ a few days prior to TC Yasi.
