Avandul in Brisbane

Allan was here for a few days as he is a tec at ABC TV in Hobart and was seconded to Qld to cover the flood and had to drive one of the local outside broadcast vans around Brisbane and line up the sattelite dish to send the link to Mt Cootha to cover the floods.I think he may post up some pics later
Got together with him on Sunday for lunch a chat

The water has made a muddy mess.
Big piles pf rubbish are springing up all over the flooded arias, waiting to be carted away.

Streetside Dentistry. I can see this being a profitable business.

Seriously though, I helped sandbag a whole neighborhood in 2009 when the river crested something like 49 feet above flood stage. The river flows north into Canada and up there it was still frozen. Nowhere for the water to go.

You guys have it much worse, obviously, but I know the feeling, at least.

The female driver of the v8 Cruiser was told not to drive thru the fast flowing water that was 1.1 metres deep on the height markers but drove around 2 road closed barriers and about mid way the back floated and was stopped by a footbridge from being washed off the road . She got out via the sunroof
