What do you have in mind?

not trying to steal your idea, it's just that when ever I think of a great idea for an app, I can usually find one that close enough...

An app like that isn't too hard to make. You can make it download all the information you want from a server and display it any way you want. You can also setup notifications so it checks every now and then for new news. The link provided will give you a lot of information you might need. But if you don't know how to code, it will be difficult and if you don't have a mac or a virtual machine running a mac, it will be impossible. And as for android, it is a little easier, but most have to be written in Java. Mac is Objective C. but both can be interfaced with c++ or c.

Hope that helps you out, If you need any help let me know and I can try and give you pointers or send you in the right direction.

You make it sound easy... How much would a company charge to build an App like that (iPhone and Android)?

I don't know about price but in time frame wise, I would assume it would take around 2-3 weeks to put together as a quality product. If you wanted something dirty and cheap it would take about a week. Time wise I would assume a company would charge you about $12,000AUD for the quality version. Doing it yourself is the cheaper option by far.
