My starion road trip

Wow ! what a few days I just spent. Work was a bit slow so I decided to take off for a few days to our house down the coast. The starion never missed a beat, fast, powerful, comfortable.....enjoyable ! All up I did about 12 hours of driving. Today I left the coast ( Huskisson ) and went up kangaroo valley, turned right onto the back road into Berry ( 16k's). the road is very twisty and wet and dark and I was behind some slow traffic. Coming out of Berry was unreal, fast open sweepers traffic moving very quick, window down fantastic exhaust note.....heaven. Turned left at Albion Park Rail and went up Macquarie Pass, now there's a steep windy road, across the top to Moss vale, onto the hume sitting on a very easy 130 or so and finally back home. All up about 4 and a half hourse to home. I cant believe how well it ran, it never missed a beat, and it was as though the clock had been turned back 25 years. What a great few days

Wish I had the time to do what you just did Daryl,

My life is all work at the moment. Lots going on, hopefully will settle down soon and some semblance of sanity returns.

Looks beautiful country down there where you were. Life is to be enjoyed..... so they tell me LOL

Cheers
Greg

Yes Greg, life is crazy. Things are really tough financially lately but I figured if I dont just go now when will I ever do it ? We have to seize the moment. It was certainly a memorable time, just three days by myself and driving driving driving. When I wasnt driving I was sitting in front of the fire reading old 1980's car magazines and watching Stargate. Seriously, does life get any better than that ?

Daz we only have one shot at life so as Brocky said "give it a real hot go " OR as someone else said "you don't want to die with the music still in you "
Hope I got those quotes right

You want to die in a movie ? Maybe get somebody to film you drifting the staz into a tree or something ?

Another quote, I think from Neil Young : "Its better to burn out than to fade away"

[quote="Vulpes"]You want to die in a movie ?
LOL No Daz I want to die doing what he was doing BUT only after I had beaten Dave fair and square at one of the street sprints so something like that happening may be quite some time away

PS a quote from an old chippie " I want to wear out not just rust away "
