It can be a bloody big job hey!!
It gets easier when you've done it 4-5 times, but even then, it's still a big job.
A hoist and a gearbox cradle makes life easier again.
As for running it in - I just used mine (Exedy "sports tough") straight away like it was stolen. But then, mine's a dedicated track car.
Probably just go easy on it for 500kms like you say, then treat it as you normally would.

You are not wrong! it can take awhile, i decided to do the rear main, sprig bearing and rear gearbox seal + uni's (as they where pretty old and crusty) while i was at it so it took a bit longer than a normal clutch change, i figured it was most likely over due and well worth doing while i have it in bits , don't want to have to pull that apart again any time soon.
i would have killed for a hoist and cradle, much better than using a jack and rolling around under the car like a cretten rofl
ill just take it easy on her for a little bit then until it wears in.
Exedy make good gear, my last 2 clutches have been Exedy HD's in other cars (this is the first clutch i've installed myself though) and i've always been really happy with them. the xtreme clutch looks the goods and i have been told by a few people they are just as good as Exedy product. Cant wait to see how it compares.
