Death to the inventor of the USB

Post by Vulpes »

Is it just me or does anybody else want to kill ( slowly and painfully ) the person who made it possible for a USB plug to only go in one way. It drives me mad when Im trying to plug something into the computer and it wont fit. :x :x :x :x :x

I'm with Vulpes on this one!

I had to put stickers on my laptop mouse and keyboard plugs cause I got so sick and tired of trying to get them round the right way everyday.

Its not hard, the states, china and Japan have this system in place already.

I am, and I don't have a problem.
It's not an age thing, it's a background thing.
But maybe you're too young to understand that :P

Early 60's thank you Rad ! and its not hard to turn it 180 deg I know but if you are going to design a plug that can only be plugged in one way DONT MAKE THE BLOODY THING RECTANGULAR thus allowing it to be attempted to be plugged in wrong. Look at the plug on the end of a micro usb etc its top is bigger than its bottom. You are correct it is a background thing, i am a builder, I make things fit for a living it just doesnt compute in my spacially aware mind to make a plug symetrical and have it work only one way.
