OLDIES TASSIE ADVENTURE

Just back from our 10 day holiday in the apple isle .Flew into Hobart on the last day of Targa Tasmania and originally had intended to go to the local track with Avandul (Allan )in his TC JA but it was booked out so we had to give that a miss. We had to go the long way around to Strahan as the Lyall H/way was closed for Targa so my navigator hung on while I did a bit of legal quick driving on the way .
It is easy to see why some of the competitors come to grief on some of the roads as the sunny surfaces are dry and the shady ones can be quite damp so reading the road is most important as the grip level varies a lot. Ended up doing 1800+ klicks in the Kluger around some of the best winding roads with almost zero traffic
Finally met Allan who kindly picked me up at the hotel in his Toyota Surf with a h u u g e Ridgeback in the back seat and drove me to check out the Staz in the man cave and after a welcome cuppa and chat about all things Starion belted me in the passenger race seat of the red beast and dropped me back at my hotel
Thanks again Allan for your hospitality it was good to meet you :beer
