From time to time, members here have been reluctant to buy or sell heavier items due to the cost of freight around Australia.
There now exists a cheap on-line system through www.e-go.com.au
To get the benefits of cheap freight, you need to use the "Depot-to-Depot" mode, as the pick up & deliver courier costs are the expensive bit.
You then create an on-line consignment note, & pay for the shipping with your credit card on-line, which all saves costs.
For example, I've just sent a 12kg parcel, nearly 2 metres long from Adelaide to Queensland for under $28, now thats cheap.
The web-site allows you to find your nearest depot & provides shipping quotes based upon the weight & dimensions of the package.
