simple lowering for your starion - no need to remove struts
just get a blow torch on the spring... when you heat it up the weight of the car will compress it by bending the coil you have heated up. easy.
(this is why i couldnt get the top nuts off of the struts. the car had enormously long bump stops and the springs were only semi captive at rest)

I would have a laugh at crshbndct's expense but I'd be dishonest if I said I hadn't done it too. I had this old bomb KE70 corolla that I wanted dumped so I put some blocks of wood under it at the height I wanted then got out the oxy
Worked well I would have sworn it even upped the spring rate, although could have just been the rubber bump stops.

next tip - remove wastegate line for performance increase!
