So does the sirius dash head from japan actually use 12 real valves? or is it just a 8v with 4 lame jet valves?

Also, is there much advantage over the normal sirius heads yuo guys got in aus?

yes 12 real valves.. has 4 normal intake valves and four smaller ones. it is a electric/hydraulic arrangement. its not switched on until about 2000rpm.

the sirius dash 12v is rated at 148kw, the 8 valve at 125kw.

they are inbetween a 8v and 16v in flow, as you could gather.... plus they love to rev, 7k redline stock, and they use it too!

hm, I may have to track one of these down. I'm picking up a wideblock pretty soon. Even though I have a few twin cam turbo setups laying around, it would be fun.

I loved my DASH motor...
Once mine was rebuilt if you weren't watching in 2nd, 3rd etc you would hit the rev limiter easy as.... would get there nice and quick to!

I was going to MPI mine instead of going down the twincam route cause i figured for all the expense of switching the head you probably wouldn't gain that much more to be honest.

If I had the option I'd have a widey with a DASH in it :D

Good luck, I've been piecing mine together for about two years now and still have a ways to go.

Redzone=Spring is here, hopefully I will have your parts soon.
