Which car do I MPI? POLL.
As stated which one.
Daily driver reliability/driveability.
Track car power.

If at first you don't succeed, maybe skydiving just wasn't your sport!
i think it would depend on if / how much you will be modifying your daily driver.. if it's remaining stock, why bother with mpi? unless it's running horribly shit stock and it'll be cheaper to mpi than fix the damn thing..

MPI the 2 litre, as it has the type A injection on it, it will eventually fail.
why wont vic roads let u register the 2.6? it was rego'd in nsw wasnt it?

yep over 10 years reg in NSW but been unreg since 2001.
There is no vin No stamped on the body of the car, still trying to sort something out it is looking like I will need to get engineers cert but I need another car to drive anyway since my beamer shit the bed a few weeks ago.
I have no idea how familys cope with just the one car it is a nightmare.

If I HAD to pick one, I'd pick the daily driver to MPI.
Sure you'll make the track car go harder, but you might be frustrated by being only able to drive your new mods on the track...
Depends on who's going to do the work and how quick...
Option 1: If you are going to do the install and take your time, do the track car.
Option 2: If you can get some one to do it quick then do it to your daily driver otherwise it could turn out as a longer more complicated exercise and the "daily driver" will be off the road for ages. Also MPI can be a little bit tricky to get 100% road worthy. (ERG valve, PCV valves, charcoal caniter, rocker breather/catch can and emission etc)
That being said having a reliable modified street car can be rewarding to drive on a daily basis.
So really, I haven't made your decision any easier, have I?

I voted the street car as you will spend more time behind it than the track car. There is a way to mpi both cars abit cheaper, by buying two looms for the ecu you intend to use you could swap between the two cars and load the appropriate maps for the car you are running the ecu at the same time. Also you can swap the injectors between the two cars as well.
