Gday,

Me missus and I were thinking of a trip down to tassie on the boat in early July. We were just wondering if it rained every day (or close to), or is it just like melbourne but colder?

Thanks fellas,

Chris

Most of the time its about the same as melbourne, in fact less variation in the temperature - ie it doesn't get as cold or as hot. Pretty mild. I came down to Tassie from Ballarat, and I must say is more comfortable than Ballarat weather, nowhere near as nasty in winter...
BUT, I live in Hobart and so far this year has been shocking, pretty much every day for a week or two now it has been raining, there is snow 20km away on mount wellington, its just awful....
But who knows, it will probably let up next week....And like I say, since 2000 when I came here its the first time its been like this.

Thanks for the reply mate. If it's warmer than ballarat, then that's good enough for me

Erm, I think I followed a link from someone's signature on another forum!
I'll definitely be asking some questions when the time comes! I was on the edge of buying one about 6 months back, unfortunately when I went to put an offer on it I found out the owner of the car had got rid of it just a day or so before (always like that, it was outside the same shop wevery day the guy worked there for about 9 months too....), hasn't been another one for sale in ages down here. I'll probably buy a bit of a project as it will be a second car.
enough about me....
