That turbo will have to be low mounted! the exhaust housing on those is angled down when fitted to the evo so if you go top mount it will be a very complex dump pipe arrangement. it is also split pulse unlike the evo 1-3 so a new manifold is needed as Redzone said :beer

at the moment a have got some more parts











at the moment I have found one place where I can get almost any used and new parts from evo 1 2 3 or newer evos.

Did any one can recomand me some suggestions what I should get more to UPGRADE my stock starion engine?

Iam able to get almost all parts..
(how about suspension to starion?) Are U happy with stock suspension? or U recomend to upgrade too.

Hi everybody again
that was a long time when I was at austarion last time.

Soon (June) Iam going again to home to drive my starion, that gonna be trackday of Mitsubishi Eclipse Club in poland , Iam going to go there with my Widey

I have got a few questions,
1)what HP Is save to reach for SOHC stock engine with bigger turbo?
when is neccesery to upgrade pistons and rods?
2)Is there any other weak parts of engine necesery to upgrade when I fit bigger turbo?

Just for future,I get already some new stuff to my car, HKS TURBO T04Z and nice COBRA EVOLUTION seat.
3)What type of seat mount brackets starion needs? the same as galant?

I know that t04z turbo need big engine and basicly all engine should be rebuilded and upgraded but just like I said this is for future.


4)Can I use evo123/vr4 rods and pistons with starion sohc engine?
5)Can I use evo123/vr4 intake manifold and throttle?
6)Is it worth to play with DOHC head or SOHC do the JOB well enough?

And there is a small present for everyone , I have done it few weeks ago

I get second hand fully polished and modified turbo T04Z ( estimated power depends of engine size 600-850) was 690 in supra where the turbo was taken.

Probably in future will be installed in galant, cause i cannot find any starion parts which can support power like that :(

that amazing 6,5 kg seat gona be instaled in starion or galants depend of the car event :)

Long time no see
I got few new items for my cars.

lastest new toy is a HKS TURBO TD06 dedicated for starion.. I was gonna try to fit my other big16 turbo from evo 8 , but I decided that bolt on parts makes less troubles. so now iam happy HKS owner, turbine is brand new, but I never seen any of them used by anyone nowhere.

any one knows anything about it? hope that I didnt wasted money for brand new turbo.



is this necessery to remap ECU for turbo like this?

iam planning to buy forged pistons and rods... but first I need to finish my galant, I just bought today JE pistons and eagle rods.

soon iam flying back to poland again... I cannot wait to present my photos of my new recoloured ( candy apple red) starion :D

that was on ebay recently wasnt it? should be fine :)

what starion are you putting it on? get a wideband afr meter and test the afr's while driving with the new one, then you'll know if u need to do anything with the computer.

at last I can say that paint job is finishd... I would like to present part of photos, soon there will be more.



previous paint was scratch off, before winter all body was fully restored, there is no one gram of rust on it any more.



after winter guys started putting pain on it
this is a first layer of colour coat candy apple red, look like pink with one layer



after all layers of paint job (11litres of paint) was time for polishing



all body parts was sprayed separatelly and polsihed separately, last moment of haos



first look at the paint.... candy apple red is changin tones from light red to dark burgundy, effect is amazing



wheels was fully rebiuiled and polished. this effect is perfect, , tires are still old, they are waiting to be changed this week



front look ... as you can see , colour changes tones depends of the light, in the night car looks like is black :)
car body parts are still seperated



last photo for today, I just been called that all car body part are together now....all car body is now canserved to protect metal parts to start rusting again( iam not sure how is this called in english), now car need to leave garage.... sooon more photos.

6 months of waiting and this is result.

there will be no make labels,no engine symols on the body, people in poland dont know nothing about starions, there will be only starion sticker in the rear of the car.

also on the wide body chasis there was small transparent vinyl squars to protect body against little stones.... any one know where I can buy them again? or it this can be any transparent vinyl sticker?

that rebuild cost me twice more that I paid for this starion
